Cubs Hope To Rebound After Tough Series In Washington

The Chicago Cubs lost two out of three in Washington, and look to get back to their hot hitting ways as they return home to face the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field. Derrek Lee looks to be over his wrist problems and his gold glove caliber defense has once again performing at an all star level.

Derrek Lee continues to hit at a torrid pace leading the Cubs offense in almost every offensive category. Some of his stats are:
  • BA - .359
  • Hrs - 7
  • RBIs - 21
  • OBA - .432
  • SLG - .660

Alphonso Soriano hopes to return to the lineup this Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers in Wrigley Field. The big question remains is where Soriano will be hitting in the lineup. Many Cub fans are adamant about Lou dropping Soriano down into the 5th or 6th position in the lineup so his power can be utilized in a more effective manner. Also, concerns have been raised about his high strikeout totals, and low On base percentage at the top of the lineup.
