Alphonso Soriano Injured Again - Cubs Recall Eric Patterson

Alphonso Soriano suffered a calf injury tracking down a routine fly ball. Soriano has had nagging leg injuries that past couple of seasons and will already be placed on the 15 DL.

Alphonso Soriano is an elite player in baseball, but he was of to a poor .175 batting average with a horrific on base percentage at the top of the order. The good news out of this, is that maybe since Soriano won't be running to well when he comes back Lou will have enough sense and put him in the #5 hole. This could be a blessing in disguise. Fukudome would be a fabulous #1 or #2 hitter in the lineup. Hopefully Lou can finally see the light!

Eric Patterson has been called up, and my guess would be he will probably split time with Reed Johnson, and maybe Mark Derosa. Any thoughts on how the lineup will be during Soriano's stint on the DL, and should Soriano resume his lead off role when he returns?
